Thermal evaluation and designation set by the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC),
insulation materials are grouped in the following
categories.
When we use dry paper as insulation material, it
readily absorbs moister, which seriously impact its
dielectric strength. In order to overcome this
deficiency, we can dry and impregnate it in some
liquid (oil, varnish, resins) to reduce moisture ingress
and maintain its dielectric strength.
It can be widely used in dry-type transformers,
special transformers, microwave oven transformers,
HID ballasts and other transformers as turn to turn
insulation, interlayer insulation and insulation end. It
can also be used in metallurgy, lifting, hauling,
mining, explosion-proof, marine, wind power and
other special motors and generators as slot
insulation, liner insulation and turn insulation.
Diamond Dotted Insulation Paper (DDP) is made of
electrical insulation paper with diamond-shaped
epoxy resin dotted on both sides. The epoxy resin
used in D.D.P. contains a kind of incubative hardener
material, it is a dry and crisp material at normal
temperature (below 35 C)DDP is a special modified
epoxy coated in rhomboid on electrical insulating
paper.It is widely used in interlayer and turn
insulation of oil-immersed power transformer.
Our DM is a two-layer flexible laminate in which a
polyester fibre non-woven is bonded to a polyester
film by adhesive with good cohesiveness and
consistency, while DMD consists of two layers of
Polyester Fiber Non-woven Fabric and a single layer
of Polyester Film in the center.
